Lawrence Clayton Rogers (77) passed away on June 1, 2017. Born in 1940 in Springfield, Mass. to Clayton and Joan (Rousseau) Rogers. Larry lost his mom at a young age but enjoyed the love and support of Clayton’s second wife Naomi. He served in the US Army after graduating from The Ohio State University. Larry was a business manager and greatly enjoyed his work at the law firms of Bricker & Eckler, and Luper, Sherriff & Neidenthal. Loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survived by wife Sherrie Lucille (Brown) Rogers; sons Ted, Steve (Carolyn), Brett (Jeanette) and Robin (Julia) Rogers; grandchildren, Anthony (Jill), Alexander, Alyia, Ted, Abigail, Skylar, Rachelle, Wren, and Phoenix Rogers, and Emily (Mark) Uzzel; great grandchild, Addison Rogers; sisters Janet (Charley) Fisher, Teresa (Dick) Briggs, and Ginger (Tye) Walton; and many nieces and nephews. Long time parishioner of the St. Thomas More Newman Center and St. Brendan Catholic Church, and member of the Knights of Columbus. Larry was kind, compassionate, and patient. He was always close to God, and was proud of his 36 years of sobriety. A lover of sports, movies, cars and coffee. He counseled those in need and had a desire to help others through hard times. A memorial service will be held at the Newman Center on Saturday, June 10 with Father Vinny McKiernan officiating. Receiving of guests at 10:00 AM, service starts at 11:00 AM. Family and friends will gather at La Scala Restaurant in Dublin afterward to celebrate his life. Larry will be interred at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
