Charles Alexander Gardner, Jr.

Charles "Cat Daddy" Alexander Gardner, Jr., 67, departed from this life, August 17, 2017 at Wexner Zusman Hospice, in Columbus, Ohio, from a long BATTLE of CANCER. He was born July 11, 1950 in Fairmont, WV to the late Charles Alexander Gardner, Sr. and Betty Brown Gardner.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas "Tommy" Smith.

Charles was a 1968 graduate of East High School and also attended school at Cleveland State University where he obtained his Associates Degree. He worked for Cuyahoga Plastics as a Toll Motor Driver and he was big fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers and enjoyed watching the games.

He is survived by his ex-wife/best friend Genetra F. Gardner and their three caring children; Shon D. Gardner Sr, Quezette A. Gardner (Tracy L. Broomfield) & Michael A. Gardner Sr (Stephanie). Grandchildren and Greatgrands (Shon D. II, Charles A. III), Trey'Auna, (Joseph A. II and TreyMar J. Love), Tracy Marie; Michael "Buster" A. Gardner II (Philant, Cali, and MyAir); Mahsid, MaKyra, Anthony, Tyler, Stephon, and Shamyra Gardner, and a very close loving friend Lauren Beck all from Columbus.

He is also survived by his siblings; Wilma (Roger) McCall, Wanda (Carlton) Gardner, Henrietta Jackson, Loretta Gardner and Michael (Essie) Gardner along with a host of nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends all residing in Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio.

Charles will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
