Alan Wesley Storts

August 17, 1990 — June 24, 2020

Columbus

It is with great sadness that the family of Alan Storts, 29, of Columbus, Ohio, announce his unexpected passing. Alan was born on August 17, 1990 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Robert and Juanita Storts. He was a 2008 graduate of Thomas Worthington High School. Following graduation, Alan enlisted in the Army Reserves where he served as a medic.

Alan had a generous and compassionate soul. He had recently taken in a stray (unbeknownst to him) pregnant cat. He had quite the surprise two days later when he found himself caring for little kittens. Alan had a tender heart for all animals, just not spiders.

Alan loved sports. OSU football games were the highlight of his week. He and his father spent many afternoons watching the game while eating chicken wings holed up in a restaurant.

Alan’s sense of humor, bright smile, dreams for the future, and adventurous spirit will continue to comfort and inspire those who knew him.

Alan is survived and will be greatly missed by his father Robert Storts, sister Amy Wilson, brother-in-law Benjamin Wilson, and niece and nephews. Alan is preceded in death by his mother Juanita Storts.

Alan’s favorite bible verse was Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

A military service and burial will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery. A family memorial service will follow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank.
