Daniel Keenan
Daniel Keenan, age 71, of Columbus, OH, passed away after battling multiple illnesses for several years. He was preceded by his late father, Leo Keenan; and his late mother, Margaret Carr. He is survived by his brother, Doug Keenan; sister, Katy Steirman; his beloved daughters; Robin Keenan and Diana Keenan Craig; as well as his son-in-law and friend, Justin Craig.
Born in Detroit, Dan was an avid Tigers fan. He loved sports such as baseball and hockey and enjoyed playing golf whenever possible. Although, his ultimate passion was teaching Latin and History. He affected countless students, and likely anyone who would listen, with his ability to eloquently and excitedly tell the stories of ancient civilizations, history, and poems written during their respective periods. He was a genuine storyteller and sincerely honored our predecessors.
Dan's largest passion in life, however, was his daughters, to whom he was a generous benefactor and influenced their lives in infinite and ineffable ways. Always a teacher, he taught his daughters countless lessons and told an endless amount of both American and mythological stories. Robin and Diana have and always will refer lovingly to him as "Daddy".
