Dawn Janay Jones

Dawn Janay Jones was born July 2, 1987 to Don Jones and Yvonne Twitty. She was a great mother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved to do hair and was a true stylist. Dawn came from a musical background. Both of her parents had voices like angels. No one knew it bur Deejay had a beautiful and played the violin. Deejay could be a brat sometimes, she was a momma’s girl and everyone knew this, but she also had a beautiful heart and spirit and would do anything for anyone. That was the God in her!

Here are some things that we have learned about Deejay. Her kids were EVERYTHING to her. She had a timer set daily to pray and her Bible app went off at the same time as her prayer time. She Loved Everyone. She had more medical issues that she did not tell us about. She was really hard on getting her life in order. She reached out to check on people even when they did not respond. She definitely had a huge heart and was misunderstood.

She joined Waters of Hope on January 23, 2022 and there was no doubt that she had given her life to The Most High God/Yah. We all beared witness that she knew the salvation scripture and that our mom had walked her through it.

Dawn was preceded in death by her Father Don C Jones, Mother Yvonne D Twitty, Grandparents Herman and Eunice Willis, John C and Francis Jones; Son Keliyountae’ Jones, Aunt Peggy Jones-Cleveland and Phyllis Jones, Uncle Furman Jones, Nephew Willie Felder Jr and Great nephew Mi’Zon Twitty.

Those left to Cherish her memory are: Her children Janiyah, A’ruyus, A’landiz; Sisters Katrina Twitty, Yelonda (Charles) Masten, Raven Parrott; Brothers Robert (Ashlee) Tucker and John C Jones. Nieces and Nephews: Shavonna, Closure, Michaela, Jachin, Jachiah, Michael, Reaiah, Nahrae, Ibreah, Gabriel, Dezwan, Chase, Ashawnte, Adonis, Raquian, Rajanique. Great nieces and nephews: Marcus, Mariyonna, Devondre, Closure Jr., Gabriella, Ja’Mariah and Savion Jr. And many beloved aunts, cousins, family and friends.
