Joe Nathan Broomfield Jr.

March 1, 1964 — September 20, 2020

Joe Broomfield Jr. was born March 1, 1964 to Joe       Broomfield Sr. and JoAnn Broomfield. He departed his life on September 20, 2020 at Grant Medical Center.

Joe was a preceded in death by mother, JoAnn Broomfield, siblings; Lamont Broomfield, Kevin Fambro and Carla Broomfield (sister-in-law), nephews Ke’Sean Broomfield, Marshad Jackson.

Joe was a hardworking man who enjoyed sports and time with his friend and family. He was a high school and        collegiate athlete excelling at both football and basketball for South High and Ventura College (California).  Whenever asked if he was a good football, he would look at you, and with his signature laugh, say “you better ask Earnie about me”.

Left to cherish his memories are his three sons; Joe    Broomfield III (Cai’Lynn), Jor-Don Grinter, T’Sharri Travis; grandchildren; Ja’Niya, Chresure, Amari,               Savoy, Jo’el, DeKari, J’ru, Jamir, and Aubrey; father, Joe Broomfield Sr.; siblings, Latonia “Tina” Curtis, Ernest Broomfield, Russell (Betty) Broomfield, Alfrado Patterson, Jeff Broomfield, James Broomfield Sr., Taisha (Domonique) Matlock, Gregory Broomfield; Sister-in-law, Danyelle    Carpenter. A host of foster brothers and sisters, nieces,  nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

During his final days he really valued the quality time he was able to spend with his loved ones. Though he was   passing he was still in great spirits making real connections with his sons and brothers. The family and I will cherish the times we were able to spend as he transitioned home to     reunite with his mother and brothers once more.
