Bexley

The Lord called Linda Brey Marous (age 70, of Bexley, Ohio) home Thursday,
February 23rd, 2023. She passed away with loved ones by her side after a courageous
battle with Parkinson’s disease. Linda was born in Delaware, Ohio to Carl and
Vivian(Stahlhut) Brey. She was a 1971 valedictorian graduate of Worthington High
School and a 1975 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, where
she met her husband of 46 years, James Michael (Mike) Marous. After college, she
spent a year volunteering for AmeriCorps VISTA in Kansas before getting married in
1976. She went on to earn a master’s degree in speech pathology from Kent State
University and worked as a speech pathologist for almost 30 years, impacting the lives
of many preschool children and their families.

Her life centered around faith, family, and friends. She was a devoted wife and mother
and passed on her legacy of faith to her family. She found great joy in spending time
with family and friends, traveling (especially annual trips to Lakeside and the ocean),
reading, crafting, eating ice cream, creating and maintaining traditions
(particularly making Christmas ornaments and homemade buckeyes). In recent
years, she cherished visitswith her four precious granddaughters.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Michael; her children, Daniel Marous
(Mandy), Sarah Rinaldo; grandchildren, Evelyn & Abigail Marous, Ruthie & Liana
Rinaldo; brothers, Donald Brey (Diane), Steven Brey (Lynda Ward); and many other
beloved family members and friends.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held Saturday, March 4th, 2023, at 11:00 AM at
Bexley United Methodist Church, 2657 E Broad Street, Bexley,
with Reverend Colleen Ogle officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be
held before the service at 10:00 AM and a luncheon will follow, both held at the
church.
