Ovid Onyward Campbell

Ovid Onyward Campbell passed away on March 18, 2023, at the age of 69, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his
courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Ovid came out a hero to many, affected a great number of lives, and stayed strong until the end. Ovid met the love of his life, Mary, and it was love at first sight. Through their 51 years of marriage, they supported one another’s goals and aspirations. Life was not always easy and things could be tough, but together they overcame numerous obstacles to raise three daughters: Ladonna Ansah, Angel (Jose) Gomez, and Erica (Victor) Cortez. Ovid was also a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Lastly, Ovid was a brother, uncle, and a friend to countless people whom he loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held on March 27, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at the Potter’s House Church of God, located at 3220 Lowell Drive, Columbus, Ohio.
