Richard Todd Bidwell Sr.

Richard Todd Bidwell Sr., known to many as Rick, passed away on August 11, 2023, at the age of 62 at OSU Hospital in Columbus, OH after an extended illness. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Rick was born on February 3, 1961, and was the son of Richard and Judy Bidwell, who preceded him in death.

Rick had a passion for animals and took great pride in his mini farm. He loved caring for his animals and cherished the time he spent with them. In his spare time, Rick enjoyed fishing and indulging in his favorite food, pizza.

Professionally, Rick was a master plumber. He dedicated his career to his craft, demonstrating skill and expertise in his work.

Rick was a member of Grace Community Church in South Solon, where he found community. He cherished the sense of belonging and spirituality he experienced at the church.

Rick leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his loving wife, Tracey Bidwell, his sons Rick Jr. (Amber) Bidwell and Nick (Laura) Bidwell, and his grandchildren Armando, Laurita, Arianna, Brian, Eric, Bo and McKinley. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Morris and Fredia Hopkins, and Charles and Rebecca Pate, as well as his sister-in-law Danielle Adkins, brother-in-law Adam Pate, and niece Madison Morehart.

A celebration of Rick's life will be held at a later date to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made directly to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.

Rick's love for his family, dedication to his work, and passion for animals will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
