Stephanie Glass

March 18, 1951 — March 8, 2023

Stephanie Louise Lloyd Johnson Glass, affectionately called "Stevie", was born on March 18, 1951 to the Late George Ira Johnson and the Late Mary Jane Broadus. Born and educated in Pittsburgh, she graduated from Westington High School. She continued her education by taking various college courses in journalism, as she always aspired to write her own autobiography. Her adventurous life lead to meeting Dennis Edwards of The Temptations, living in New York where she modeled for an international modeling company for a few years. Returning to Pittsburgh, she opened a clothing store in East Liberty called Stephanie's, where she sold matching his and her outfits. She later moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she met John Glass, and they were married by Patrice Smith(Bunny).  Her hustler's mentality lead her to selling plates of her one-of-a-kind home-cooked food to truckers all over Ohio for years. Family and friends adored her food so much, she contemplated opening a restaurant in the Dublin area. Earning several certificates from programs such as Tapestry, Soaring Sober, and Narcotics Anonymous, she had over 25 years clean and sober. Stephanie had a dynamic personality and was a force to be reckoned with. Her two sayings were, "I laugh and joke, but I don't play" and "All I gotta do is smile". Besides her parents and grandparents, sons Harold "Lamont" Ira Johnson and William Arthur Hinson III; niece Cheryl Robinson; aunts Elizabeth Tucker(Betty), Patrica Smith (Bunny), Ruth Turner ( Putt), Jackie Brodas, Francise Brodus(Fanny), Sharon Smith (Headie), and Charlene Backner (Baby); cousins Kenny, Gregory and Brian Tucker; and many more loved ones precede her in death.
