William “Bill” E. Butler, 67, passed away on December 2, 2021. Bill was born to the late John M. Butler, and Ruby E. Tippie on September 15, 1954 at Mt. Vernon, Ohio.
Bill was known for his being a total outdoorsman. He loved camping, horse-back riding, and going on long drives with his soulmate Mary. Bill collected knives, as well as Zippo lighters. He was known for his sense of humor which was a combination of sarcasm and sweet; he especially enjoyed poking fun at his family. His love was regularly shown through his humor.
Bill was preceded in death by his father John, his soulmate Mary (Woody) Butler, his sister Juanita, and his grandchild Bridget.
Those who will cherish his memories are his mother Ruby; his son Tony (Lindy); his daughter Rhonda (Tommy); his brothers Curt (Tubb), Robert, Walt, and Danny; his sisters Chuckie, Marilyn, Janice, Nancy, and Jackie; his grandkids Brittany (Brian), William, Breana (Nick), and Brandon (Leigh); and 27 great-grandkids; and his best friends DJ and Charlie.
Visitation will be held at Edwards Funeral Service, 1166 Parsons Ave. on Thursday December 9 from 3 PM – 5 PM and Friday December 10 from 12 PM to 1 PM, with the service immediately following at 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Cemetery.
